The actual day might be over, but the St. Paddy's celebrations are far from finished.
For the first time since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020, a Minnesota tradition is back at Lake Harriet. Its return, however, proved to be memorable, as it came alongside the coldest St. Patrick’s Day temperatures in a generation.

"It's part of our city's identity," Irish-American historian Jim Rogers said, "but it's odd because the last time the Irish were the largest foreign born ethnic group in St. Paul was the 1850 census."
