Waves of showers and thunderstorms are possible throughout the day, but the main window for severe weather is during the evening. Large hail and damaging wind are the main threats, but there is a risk of tornadoes.
The storm threat continues into early Wednesday, and then cooler weather is expected for the end of the week.
