Three juveniles were facing charges Sunday night in an armed robbery that led to a wild chase from the west Chicago suburb of Cicero to Chicago’s West Side.
In each incident, the robbers started chatting up drunken victims in a friendly manner. Then, the robbers forcibly took the victims’ property and beat up the victims with their hands and fists, police said.
The robbery happened on Granville Avenue in West Rogers Park, or West Ridge.
Police said a physical struggled ensued during the robbery, at which point one of the robbers shot the woman in the abdomen.
According to police, the robbery took place on the CTA bus on June 28 in the Brighton Park neighborhood.
Police said the boys robbed and carjacked a 27-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman on Sunday in the 1600 block of North Long Avenue.
Nearly two months after a couple was robbed outside their home in the north Chicago suburb of Glenview, police said they had a second suspect in custody Tuesday.
