"We're just trying to get the youth motivated to going back to school and just to make a positive change in their life."
Police said officers responded to multiple people shot and confirmed that five victims were shot.
"We have made inroads into a place that had been systematically eliminated from us to enter."
A physician on the city's South Side is sharing his talents and knowledge well beyond his hospital.
"Chatham is not a minority community, it's a Black community. So it's important that we did everything that we can to amplify the voice of community members and make sure they had access to work on the facility."
