Maya Moore scored a career-high 35 points and the Minnesota Lynx beat the Indiana Fever 84-77 Saturday night. Seimone Augustus had 17 points and Janel McCarville added 12 for the Lynx (20-7), who won for the third time in four games and lead Los Angeles by 1½ games atop the Western Conference. Tamika Catchings scored 22 points and Shavonte Zellous had 19 as the Fever (12-15) fell a half-game behind Washington for third place in the Eastern Conference. Indiana has lost four of five and five of seven.

Joe Mauer To Remain On Concussion List

The Minnesota Twins say All-Star catcher Joe Mauer is not going to be activated from the seven-day concussion list when the team begins a homestand next week. Twins assistant general manager Rob Antony said doctors have told Mauer to rest until at least Tuesday, the day he would be eligible to come off the concussion disabled list. Mauer was placed on the list earlier this week after he became dizzy during his pregame routine. The Twins sent him back to Minnesota from Detroit, and the 2009 AL MVP visited a specialist at the Mayo Clinic on Friday.

Mauer was placed on baseball's seven-day concussion list earlier this week after he became dizzy during his pregame routine.
