An off-duty Lewisville police officer was arrested on Friday morning, charged with sexual assault of a child, the Lewisville Police Department confirmed.
The Lewisville Police Department said that just after 12 a.m. Thursday, an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in which the driver was suspected of having a felony warrant.
At about 6:30 a.m., police said she was safely reunited with her family. But police told CBS News Texas that the department is still investigating the incident.
