A long-running tradition returned to Pittsburgh on Tuesday. This is the 14th year for Special Olympics Pennsylvania’s torch run. KDKA’s Megan Shinn reports from the North Shore.
On Tuesday, a local athlete received the news that she will represent Pennsylvania in the upcoming Special Olympics USA Games next summer.
This year, students were able to raise more than $30,000 for the Special Olympics.
The Special Olympics North American Softball Championships are underway at the No Offseason Sports complex in Russellton, where more than 25 teams have traveled into the Pittsburgh area from across the United States and Canada, all vying for a chance to win this prestigious tournament.
