Carlos Sanchez, 24, was shot and killed this week not far from Back of the Yards College Prep, where he was a star on the soccer field. CBS 2's Marybel Gonzalez reports.
To those closest to him, Carlos Sanchez, 24, was known as "Chispa," Spanish for "spark."
Sanchez was shot dead outside his alma mater, Back of the Yards College Prep.
Police said 5:29 p.m. Monday, a gunman opened fire and struck Carlos Sanchez, 24.
In all four robberies, a group of men used a white SUV, but police have not said if the holdups are connected.
The robberies happened between 7:20 a.m. and 8:20 a.m. in the city's Lower West Side, McKinley Park, Back of the Yards, Chicago Lawn, and Gage Park neighborhoods.
