Man beaten and robbed outside Chicago City Hall
Police said the 61-year-old man was walking near La Salle and Washington streets around 2:45 a.m., when four people got out of a dark car and attacked him.

The robberies happened in Brighton Park, Back of the Yard, Gage Park, Chicago Lawn, and Garfield Ridge neighborhoods.
Chicago police arrested the boys, both 16, and the men, Omareon Coleman and Samuel Gaines, both 19, around 9 p.m. in the 1300 block of West Montrose Avenue and the 4400 block of North Malden Avenue, respectively.
An employee of the business was leaving out the back door to the garbage area when an unknown male and female approached with a handgun.
Chicago police said the incident happened just before 2 a.m. in the 800 block of South State Street.
Tony Wilson, 18, was arrested just minutes after the robbery.
The robbery happened on June 28 around 1:20 p.m. in the 5000 block of South Evans Avenue.

An off-duty sheriff's deputy fatally shot a person during an armed robbery in northwest suburban Elgin on Monday.
Four times since late June, the robber has used a dating app to arrange meetings with his targets, and then robbed them at gunpoint.
