A 59-year-old man was arrested after a SWAT standoff, accused of shooting into a pickup during a Grapevine road rage incident that injured a 7-year-old boy.
Police say 59-year-old John Schwoyer fired into a truck with children inside during a road rage incident, injuring a child with shattered glass.
Investigators said they have a description of the suspect's vehicle and a license plate number.
The incident occurred just after 5:45 p.m. Monday on the service road of Interstate 30 at Gus Thomasson Road.
The shooting near East Loop 820 shortly after 6:30 p.m. on Jan. 27 was captured on the victim's dash cam video.
"I'm going to miss him laughing and having a good time," said daughter Shelby Johnson.
"Starting with only a blurry picture of the suspect vehicle, detectives began the tedious process of developing leads."
Police identified the suspect vehicle as a 1999 black Honda Accord.
Police say they are now looking for the driver of a blue Infiniti G35 coupe or sedan that is missing a front bumper.
Police said the suspect fled the scene.
