New Jersey Sen. Bob Menendez spoke publicly Monday for the first time since being indicted on federal bribery charges.
The Democrat will appear at an 11:30 a.m. press conference in Union City, Hudson County, where he started his political career. As CBS New York's Elijah Westbrook reports, it comes as members of his own party are calling on him to step down.
"I think the situation is quite unfortunate, but I do believe that it is in the best interest for Sen. Menendez to resign in this moment," Ocasio-Cortez told "Face the Nation."
