A driver crashed into a building in the Austin neighborhood and abandoned the car there.
The incident happened just before 9 p.m. in the 4800 block of West Thomas Street.
The business was closed at the time and no hazards were identified.
Two people inside the home weren't seriously injured.
Police said 74-year-old Craig Muzard swerved into oncoming traffic in February in unincorporated Lake Villa.
One witness who was driving on Skokie Boulevard said he saw the car fly over his head after it left the Edens Expressway.
