A spokesperson for Metra said Lisle police reported a body at the north side of the depot.
Police found the bodies of a 66-year-old woman and a 70-year-old man.
The cause of his death is under investigation by Area 5 detectives.
Fire officials say the fire started in the laundry room and was deemed accidental.
Fire crews assisted police with pulling the body out of the river near Michigan Avenue around 9:50 a.m.
The woman whose body was found on the side of the road in northern Lake County, Illinois, on Wednesday was identified. The Lake County Coroner's Office identified the woman as 39-year-old Megan Lewis, a Chicago resident.
