"I'm grateful to be vaccinated and boosted, which has kept my case mild, and I urge everyone to do the same," said the 76-year-old former president.
All students and staff must be up to date on their boosters by Nov. 1 in order to be allowed on campus.
Mayor Eric Adams made the announcement Tuesday before getting his second booster shot.
New booster shots rolling out this week should offer protection against the original strain of the virus plus Omicron and new variants that may arise, health officials said.
