The robbers were only described as wearing hooded sweatshirts, masks, and gloves.
The incidents happened between Sept. 15 and Oct. 9. During the evening and early morning hours.
Police said the robbers would lure victims using the apps by asking them to come to a specific address to meet. The locations were either abandoned or vacant buildings.
Evidence markers were placed on the sidewalk where the victim, only described as a male, was walking along with a car with shot-out windows.
The victim was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center in critical condition with a stab wound to the back.
The victim was hit in his left leg and was taken to the University of Chicago Hospital in good condition.
The teen suffered multiple gunshot wounds to his body and was taken to the University of Chicago's Comer Children's Hospital in critical condition, police said.
Light the Line was formed by Elizabeth French, the mother of fallen Chicago police officer Ella French, and Carlos Yanez Jr., her police partner who was also seriously wounded.
Six of those incidents happened on Saturday, and three more on Sunday—all happening during the early morning hours.
Police haven't confirmed if the incidents were related, but officers did recover the truck used in the electronics burglary in the 8500 block of South Laflin Street in Auburn Gresham.
