One person was killed Monday evening in a fiery crash in Woodstock, Illinois.
The homeowner, who did not want to be identified, said his wife was the only one home at the time of the crash and was injured as a result.
The trooper returned to their squad car, which was then hit in the rear by a Lincoln SUV that failed to move over.
The spokesperson says several other people were hurt, but police didn't specify how many were injured.
The car was implicated in the carjacking of another Nissan.
