Police said that in each incident, the suspects placed a chain on a business's front shutter or door to pull it off the hinges and remove the ATM.

Police released surveillance video of the thief, who used a screwdriver to smash the windows of three businesses in the Edgewater neighborhood in the span of a week.
The two entered the businesses, taking items and money from inside, before leaving the scene and heading northwest through an alley.
It happened just after 3 a.m. at the Sunnyside Cannabis Dispensary in the 400 block of North Clark Street.
DuPage County prosecutors said the man convinced a 7-Eleven clerk to let him get warm inside the store, then stole $730 in scratch-off tickets when the clerk later went into the back cooler.
One restaurant manager said the strip mall stores keep their cash securely locked up, so the burglars didn't get much.
Around 1:07 a.m. Sunday, Naperville police officers responded to a burglary alarm at Drippy's Smoke Shop, 1552 N. Aurora Road.
Chicago police said that three unknown men damaged the front window of the business before entering and taking property from inside.
Back in July, it was one of two shops targeted in the area by thieves.
