Chicago police said five males in a red sedan broke the front glass of a liquor store.
In a burglary that was caught on camera, the front of a small business destroyed by the crew that pulled the ATM from the store on the city's Northwest Side. Tara Molina reports.
Surveillance video showed the group using a car to drag the ATM out of the store before putting it in the trunk.
They entered the restaurant, took merchandise from inside, and then fled in a black SUV in an unknown direction.
Chicago police said just after 7:30 a.m., three people damaged the front glass door of the Whale Fish, Shrimp, and Chicken in the 3600 block of West Chicago Avenue in the Humboldt Park neighborhood.
Police say four men who wear dark face masks and gloves are wanted for breaking into and stealing from at least three businesses in Portage Park and North Park.
The robberies happened in the Gresham and Longwood Manor neighborhoods.
There were two to four thieves involved, police said.
Chicago police said a person approached on foot and damaged the business's front door, entered, and took property from within before fleeing in an unknown direction.
At least five people were seen exiting a white truck and breaking the glass to the front door.
The thieves then made entry, took the ATM, and fled in a white SUV, police said.
In one case, the suspects used a chain, and in another, they entered the business through the roof.

The crimes happened between 3:30-5:30 a.m. in South Chicago, Burnside, and Calumet Heights. Police did not confirm whether the burglaries and thefts were connected.
They said four to five men used an unknown object to break through a glass door and took proceeds from within.
Thieves shattered the glass and tried to pull the cash machine through the window but failed.
The burglars grabbed money from the registers and tip jars inside the bar and then drove off in a Kia Soul.
