One person has died after police opened fire.
It happened around 3 a.m. Thursday morning when a stolen vehicle was located near the 7-11 gas station off Cartwright and Faithon P Lucas Blvd.
The shooting happened around 9 p.m. in the 700 block of N. Beach Street, FWPD said.
The suspect of a burglary started shooting at police, who returned fire.

34-year-old Shane James now faces 10 charges, including first degree felony charges for aggravated assault mass shooting, aggravated assault against a public servant and four capital murder charges.

On Dec. 9, the 16-year-old died from his injuries.
"Fearing for their lives, and the life of the victim, a single officer fired their duty weapon striking the suspect," the report states.
Investigators are now trying to piece together what the motive was in the man's death.
