Celebrations were in full swing this Juneteenth, which marks the day in 1865 when Union soldiers arrived in Galveston, Texas, to inform enslaved people there that they were free. About 1,000 attended a block party. They were briefly forced to evacuate due to the threat of severe weather. Ray Strickland reports.
