Twins' Arcia Hits Grand Slam, Leaves Game With Sprained Ankle

Minnesota Twins right fielder Oswaldo Arcia has a sprained right ankle, forcing him out of the game against Milwaukee. Arcia was hurt Thursday after leading off the sixth inning with a double. When Trevor Plouffe whiffed on his bunt attempt, the Brewers caught Arcia with too big a lead off second base. Arcia rolled his right ankle when he tried to plant his foot and retreat and was picked off as he dived back into the bag.

Garza, Reynolds Lead Brewers To 6-2 Win Over Twins

Matt Garza took a shutout into the seventh inning and Mark Reynolds hit a two-run homer, sending the Milwaukee Brewers to a 6-2 victory over the Minnesota Twins on Monday night. Garza (3-4) scattered six hits over 6 1-3 scoreless innings against the team that brought him to the big leagues in 2006. The right-hander, signed to a $50 million, four-year deal as a free agent in the offseason, struck out eight and walked two for his first win since May 5.

Dozier's 3-Run Homer Helps Twins Top Mariners 4-3

Brian Dozier doesn't like talking about his power-hitting abilities. When told his manager referred to him as Minnesota's "igniter" over the past couple of games — during which he homered on consecutive nights — the Twins second baseman looked embarrassed. "The igniter? Oh goodness," Dozier said Saturday night after hitting a three-run homer that proved to be the game-winning hit in Minnesota's 4-3 victory over the Seattle Mariners.
