The victim was shot in the right arm and was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in good condition, police said.
Police said at 3:30 a.m., the teen was a passenger in a vehicle stopped at a traffic light in the 700 block of South Wells Street, near Polk Street, when a man took out a gun and fired multiple shots at the car.
Chicago police said two men were outside near Polk and Wells streets when one shot the other.
Once the car the man put the woman into was in motion, she was able to open the door and get out, police said.
Police said on Saturday, the young woman was walking on the sidewalk along Scott Street right off bustling Wells Street when a black vehicle appeared, and someone inside dragged her in. She was able to escape.
