The stabbing happened shortly after 1 p.m. at the Central Avenue station on the Lake Street branch of the Green Line, in the South Austin neighborhood.
Maria Gates, 22, of Chicago, was charged with two felony counts of aggravated battery with use of a deadly weapon.
