Two men were killed, and another was critically hurt after they were shot while standing outside a restaurant in South Chicago early Saturday morning.
ISP did not release the ages and genders of the victims.
Donnell Payne, 35, of Chicago, was arrested and charged with one felony count of attempted first-degree murder, one felony count of aggravated battery with discharge of a firearm, and one felony count of aggravated battery to a peace officer.
The shooting happened around 2 a.m. in the 2500 block of East 83rd Street. The third victim was found in the 8300 block of South Colfax Avenue.
Two people were taken in serious to critical condition to Mt. Sinai Hospital for gunshot wounds.
