Chicago police confirmed 33 buses were damaged in the Student First Inc. school bus yard in the 4100 block of West Chicago Avenue. Lauren Victory reports.
A woman who lives on the block said it all happened on the street behind Green Briar Park. She took video of the men driving off.
The theft happened in broad daylight on Talman Avenue in the North Side Chicago neighborhood. Sabrina Franza reports.
Police say one man would go under the vehicle with a sawzall or reciprocating saw and cut the catalytic converter while another man looked out.
Troy Community Consolidated School District 30-C said they expect all school buses to be fixed by Tuesday evening, but with a winter storm expected on Wednesday, they have yet to announce if in-person classes will resume.
