It happened around 9:45 a.m. at the building on Lexington Avenue and 98th Street.
Crews have installed temporary support columns to reopen all tracks on the Park Avenue Viaduct. Metro-North said customers should still anticipate some residual delays due to speed restrictions through the area.
Metro-North said it would operate on an "enhanced Saturday schedule'' Thursday, providing customers with additional trains during peak travel times. The railroad said it hoped to restore regular service by Friday.
