The Kansas City police chief spoke about the shooting at the Chiefs Super Bowl parade that killed one person and hurt 22. Half of the injured are under the age of 16. Three suspects, two of them juveniles, were detained.
Three of those patients are in critical condition, and two people are in custody. CBS 2's Lauren Victory reports.
Police are still on the scene in the southeast part of Washington about four miles away from Capitol Hill. Several roads and several schools in the area are on lockdown.
The police union said three of its members had been shot by a suspect and were taken to area hospitals with gunshot wounds.
