A DuPage County judge granted prosecutors' motion to detain Max Bosco, 26, and Emily Frasca, 24, both of Naperville.
Authorities say the pair was behind the attempted robbery of a woman at an ATM in Naperville, Illinois, and the holdup of a convenience store in Lisle.
The robber took the victim's belongings and ran off the train when it arrived at the Cicero Avenue station, police said.
The delivery drivers were dropping off packages or food in the 6800 block of South Ada Street when a man came up with a gray handgun and demanded their property.
Police said the victim was on the train when he was approached by the suspects, who took his cell phone. When he tried to get it back, he was beaten by the group.
The teen was arrested on Wednesday in the 11300 block of South Normal Avenue and charged with three felony counts of aggravated robbery with an indication of a firearm.
The victims are targeted just as they leave bars and order an Uber or Lyft. Police said while the victims are looking at their phones, the armed robbery crew makes its move.

The 17-year-old boy was charged with four felony counts of robbery and three felony counts of aggravated battery to a transit employee/passenger. He also received an additional aggravated battery charge, causing great bodily harm.
