Chicago police said just before 2:30 a.m., the driver, a 31-year-old man, was traveling in a gray SUV in the 3900 block of North Ashland Avenue when he attempted to make a turn southbound.
The 31-year-old male driver could not make the turn and struck a building, causing damage, police said.
At least five people were taken to multiple hospitals in fair to critical condition. The victims range in age from 17 years old to 32 years old.
Three people were taken to local hospitals, including a 29-year-old pregnant passenger.
