The winner of the $429.6 million Powerball jackpot has yet to come forward to claim the prize,
"This is so exciting'!" said clerk Luis Sandoval.
Someone is holding onto the sole winning Powerball ticket that was sold in New Jersey and is worth $429.6 million, lottery officials said Sunday.
This pot has been growing since March 2, after a 67-year-old man in Florida claimed the previous Powerball jackpot of $291.4 million. Powerball numbers are drawn each week on Wednesday and tonight's.
The Powerball jackpot has climbed to $415 million, making Saturday night's prize the largest since a record $1.6 billion payout in January.
Powerball says the odds of winning the top prize are one in more than 292 million.
With no big winner in Saturday night's Powerball drawing, the jackpot now stands at $348 million.
The current jackpot for the national lottery has reached $314 million after going weeks without a winner. The next drawing is Saturday night. If a winner isn't drawn, the pot will grow even bigger. The last jackpot to reach this level eventually grew to become the largest in U.S. history -- $1.5 billion.
One winning Powerball ticket worth $1 million from the Saturday's drawing was sold at Hometown Deli along the 800 block of Durham Road in Newtown.
