The robberies happened between June 15-19 in the Gage Park, Humboldt Park, and Hermosa neighborhoods.
Chicago police said the victim was sitting inside his truck when two people approached, opened his door, and fired multiple shots at him before fleeing the scene.
The shooting happened in the 4400 block of West Fifth Avenue just after 1 a.m.
Larry Neuman, 73, was shot around 11:30 a.m. in the 4300 block of West Monroe Street in West Garfield Park.
The fire broke out in a building at Adams Street and Washtenaw Avenue in East Garfield Park.
There were no reports of injuries.
Chicago police said just before 11 p.m., a man, 46, and a woman, 39, were fighting in the 5400 block of West Congress Parkway in the Austin neighborhood when two other men approached and battered the man.

The homicide took place at 12:35 a.m. Friday, May 24, in the 4700 block of West Polk Street—between Kilpatrick and Cicero avenues in the South Austin neighborhood.
