There was new fallout Tuesday from the city's new vaccine mandate which goes far beyond any other in the nation.
This comes as New York City is also extending the vaccine mandate for indoor dining, fitness and entertainment to include children ages 5 to 11.
Beginning December 14th, kids 5-11 must show proof of at least one dose for indoor dining, fitness, or entertainment. The same will also apply for high-risk extracurricular activities in schools.
Starting Dec. 14, the vaccine mandate for indoor activities will include children ages 5 to 11, as well.
The new mandate applies to about 56,000 employees at 938 schools across New York City.

Mayor Bill de Blasio said 91% of the city's more than 300,000 employees are vaccinated. That leaves about 9,000 unvaccinated workers who were put on unpaid leave.
