A woman was shot in the head at a Bronx night club and several others were also shot nearby on early Sunday morning, police said.
The suspect was pronounced dead Saturday evening. His identity is not being released until notification of next of kin.
The officer tried to arrest the 22-year-old man, and a scuffle ensued, police said. A round was discharged from the officer's gun and the suspect was shot in the torso.
After being in lockdown since about 12:37 p.m., law enforcement agencies have determined that there is no longer an active threat and that normal activities can resume.
