The man, now identified as 20-year-old Santa Ana resident Alex Ruiz, was found suffering from a gunshot wound on the sidewalk in the 1700 block of Spurgeon Street. He was taken to a hospital in critical condition where he was later pronounced dead.
Authorities believe Flores may have additional victims and are asking anyone with information to contact the Santa Ana Police Department.
