Witnesses stated they saw an unknown male who was shooting at the entrance of the alley and fled the scene in an unknown direction afterward.
Chicago police say four people were shot in an alley near 61st and Justine - just east of Ashland around 9 p.m.
A reward for information has since climbed to $15,000.
Each of the incidents happened during various hours in the 7200 block of South Langley Avenue between Oct. 12 and 16.
The flames caused the Advocate United Church of Christ steeple to collapse, which hit an SUV and a house. At one point, that steeple was the highest point in the East Side, pastor Malcolm Griffith said.
