The incidents happened within an hour on the Southwest and Northwest Sides.
In the Gage Park neighborhood, thieves stole an ATM from inside a business. Minutes later, a group of men burglarized a smoke shop, according to police.
In each incident, a burglar has broken the front window or glass door of a business and stormed inside, taking money from cash registers.
Three businesses in Norwood Park, and four in one strip mall in Edison Park, were among those targeted. Shardaa Gray reports.
