There's a new initiative in Cook County to help survivors of human trafficking and domestic violence. The Cook County Sheriff's office is teaming up with Uber to help survivors get around to access services and everyday needs. Cook County Sheriff's Deputy Chief Dion Trotter and director of victim support services Cyndi Kenzinger join us to dig into the program.
"Domestic violence survivors are already dealing with immense trauma. Why are we taking money out of their pockets, adding more burdens to the reporting process?" State Sen. Dave Koehler said.
