The car hit was moved off the road and taken to a nearby park to get it out of the way.
"Just sitting in my office working. Heard a loud crash. Corner of the house was blown out. I think somebody lost control of their car and drove into our house."
A suspect and another driver are injured following a high-speed crash on the city's Near West Side early Sunday morning.
The crash happened on West Warren Boulevard and North Oakley Boulevard.
The victim has been identified as David Ponce De Leon of Blue Island.
The CPD officer and a man and woman were all hospitalized in good condition.
The crash happened around 9:50 p.m. in the area of Sibley Boulevard and Superior Avenue.
