A man was arrested and charged with stealing a large sum of money from an athletics booster club in North Texas.
One of the suspects fired multiple rounds, striking the victim at least once in the torso, before the suspects fled, police said.
The department says it has obtained an arrest warrant for the suspect.
The investigation is ongoing.
Kevin Monahan, 66, was previously convicted of second-degree murder in the death of Kaylin Gillis.
It started around 6:10 p.m. when police responded to a shooting call in the 1900 block of Chalice Road.
The teen allegedly shot the victim, who lost control of his vehicle and crashed into an empty house.
