This past month, 108 new Transit Bureau officers have made 170 arrests, the MTA said.
The agency is extending the period of one-way and round-trip tickets on the Long Island Rail Road and Metro-North from two weeks to two months.
From July 23 to July 27 between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m., the MTA will be closing stations on those lines from 59 Street-Columbus Circle to the West 4 Street corridor in both directions.
The MTA is planning service changes, but instead of service cuts, the agency is actually planning to add service to its network.
