Prosecutors have reached a plea deal with a former bookkeeper accused of embezzling $700,000 from the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America synod in northwestern Minnesota. The agreement calls for Robert Larson of Wolverton to serve four years in prison and to pay back the stolen money.
Authorities said a man suspected of at least two robberies in the St. Cloud area was arrested Wednesday afternoon. Waite Park Police and local FBI agents executed a search warrant at about 2:30 p.m. at a residence on the 1400 block of Westwind Road in St. Cloud.
