According to information provided by the Miami Police Department, 22-year-old Jamesly Mezime was arrested Thursday afternoon.
She was transported to Broward Health North with serious injuries, but her current condition remains unknown.
The shooting's location is near Lillie C. Evans Elementary School, which was on lockdown as a precaution due to the incident.
Laura Tavarez Ramirez, 24, was charged with attempted second-degree murder with a firearm.
In an emotional interview with CBS News Miami, the aunt, Chrislyne Brumaire-Florence, identified her nephew as Kitchner Cyrille.
