Since the fire, there has been no service at the University Park or Richton Park stops, and there likely will not be until Friday morning.
Police said 14 people safely escaped the building, and no injuries were reported.
Officials have not released the cause of the fire, but neighbors told CBS News Chicago they woke up to a loud blast.
