Illinois State Police said around 2:10 a.m., troopers responded to a four-car crash on southbound I-90 near Western Avenue.
The driver and one other passenger escaped with minor injuries.
One of the cars ended up on the train tracks and was struck by the train.
Police say a black female wearing all black was walking in the roadway of eastbound I-80/94 just east of Broadway Tuesday night.

The trooper was inside at the time of the crash. Both the trooper and driver of the Ford were not hurt.
Michael Trinka, 33, has been arrested and charged with 12 counts of aggravated DUI, according to Illinois State Police.
