Tucked into the South Chicago neighborhood, W.G.N. Flag & Decorating Company has been quietly manufacturing the visual language of the city since 1916, including the Bears' famous "Bear Down" flag.

Avalon Park is one of the smaller, lesser-known enclaves of Chicago's South Side. Producer Tom talks to Paul Durica of the Chicago History Museum about its history, explores the actual park from which the neighborhood takes its name, visits Marynook, the Skyway and the Avalon Park Community Church before stopping for a snack and chat at one of the neighborhood's most popular eateries, Justice of the Pies.

Then we talk to Superdawg owners and siblings Scott Berman and Lisa Drucker about the famed drive-in hot dog stand's storied history and special relationship with the Northwest Side.
South Shore, unsurprisingly located on Chicago's South Side, is a vibrant neighborhood full of history, culture, architecture and beautiful, eclectic residents. Producer Tom talks to the Chicago History Museum's Paul Durica and Andrea Adams, the director of the South Shore Cultural Center, as he takes a tour through the center. We also visit Michelle Obama's childhood home, the Jackson Park Highlands, the location of Chicago's Mounted Horse Police and the Metra Electric line that runs right through the neighborhood.
