The criminal trial for 19-year-old Timothy Simpkins continues Thursday morning.

Timothy Simpkins could face up to 20 years behind bars.
Police said they don't believe this was a random shooting and that the suspect knew the victim "to some degree."
"Kyrie was a special baby," his mom, Danielle Brown, said. "He was always happy, always smiling. He was just my little man."
So far this year, Fort Worth police officers have opened fire on eight suspects. Four were killed.
The suspect's vehicle is described as a small, dark-colored older model car.
The call came in just after 3:15 p.m. near Ripy Street.
