The FBI is investigating a haunting series of events that began as an abduction in Seattle and ended in Oregon, where a woman escaped after being brutally sexually assaulted. The suspect is now connected to at least four other assaults. He's lived in a number of states, including California, where authorities have now expanded their search and are asking other victims to come forward.
The suspect has lived in 10 states since 2016 and the FBI is looking for more potential victims.
"I can tell you, having spent 40 years plus as a prosecutor, they were particularly sobering to me," the special counsel told lawmakers.
The report outlined both privacy and counterintelligence concerns stemming from the ability of U.S. government agencies to acquire potentially sensitive personal information.
The suspect apparently left some key evidence behind.
There is nothing in the Constitution that prevents someone who has been charged or convicted from serving.
