ME-ONE Foundation Fundraiser

Me-One Foundation, live and virtual fundraiser was on December 2nd, at Foothills Bowl in Auburn. A taste of the Foothills with Bowling, Dinner, Wine and Freddie Silveria of FSAuctions. A single purpose: To give adult cancer patients and their loved ones a relaxing, enjoyable, three-day family retreat from cancer. This carefree and cost-free retreat, Camp Wieser, gives families the gift of time for quiet reflection, pampering, and fun, a needed vacation from the whirlwind of doctor appointments and paperwork and treatments.

Sacramento Children's Home Crisis Nursery LUXE FOR LIFE Fundraiser

Sacramento Children's Home Crisis Nursery LUXE FOR LIFE dinner and fundraiser was held at the California Railroad Museum in Old Sacramento on November 13, 2021. The Sacramento Children's Home operates the county's only Crisis Nursery. The mission is to prevent child abuse and neglect by providing support to families at times of crisis. The Sacramento Crisis Nursery is a family-strengthening program, where parents can bring their children ages 0-5 to one of two Sacramento nurseries for emergency childcare services or overnight care during difficult times.

MOSAC Science Museum Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting

MOSAC, Sacramento newest Science Center official Ribbon cutting and announcement that the center is now open to the public was on November 12th, SMUD Museum of Science and Curiosity, or simply MOSAC The Science Museum off Richards Blvd was originally a power station from 1912. Junior Achievement PlayFORE JA Fundraiser

Junior Achievement took over Topgolf on October 19th and 21st for its inaugural PlayForeJA fundraiser. There was something for everyone: prizes, competition, networking, great food and drink, and loads of fun! Proceeds benefit JA's career exploration, work readiness, financial literacy and entrepreneurial programs to foster a sense of purpose and capability in youth leading to improved economic outcomes.

Saint John's Party for Change Gala and Fundraiser

Saint John's Party for Change, the only major fundraising event this year, was held on Oct 16th and was completely sold out! Presented by Steve and Gayle Campora and Catia Saraiva-Muñoz and Marcus Muñoz and hosted by the Sacramento Jet Center, this elegant black-tie soiree featured fabulous cuisine and wine, music by Las Vegas DJ E-Noc, dance and aerialist performances by the Sacramento Contemporary Dance Theatre, a fantastic live auction and more! "with help from Sacramento area businesses, donors, local philanthropic organizations and volunteers, we hosted a night that was truly a celebration! Our success stories are tied directly to your support of our program – delivering care, hope, and change to over 30,000 people over the past 36 years wouldn't have been possible without YOU. Together at Party for Change we raised over $975,000 to help support the women and children at Saint John's Program"

Commercial Real Estate Development Association presented NAIOP Person of Year Award

Commercial Real Estate Development Association presented NAIOP, Person of Year Award Dinner to Denton Kelley of LDK Ventures on October 14th at the Railyards, downtown Sacramento. One of the most beautiful artsy settings we have seen for an outside venue! A Benefit for Cristo Rey Sacramento. The NAIOP Sacramento Valley was formed in 1985 and conducts business in the Colusa, El Dorado, Placer, Sacramento, San Joaquin, Stanislaus, Sutter, Yolo and Yuba counties. Since founding, it has become the voice of commercial real estate development. The Sacramento Chapter is known for organizing special events such as the annual Development Forum, which feature current and future regional development projects, the quarterly Hard Hat Tours, which feature new projects and host guest speakers. The chapter offers educational workshops and seminars and remains involved in government affairs at local and state levels.

Sacramento Black Chamber of Commerce Connecting the Dots Forum

On October 14th, the SBCC welcomed over 100 women (and a few men!) to their premier annual event, Connecting the Dots: A Women's Forum at the Hilton Hotel. Five speakers from all walks of life inspired and enthralled everyone in attendance, and the Chamber presented Awards to Dr. Kawanaa Carter and Wanda Abney.
