The governor on Tuesday renewed his push for a comprehensive gun bill package he introduced last year.
The governor wants the legislature to approve the bills before the summer, when gun violence tends to increase.
Murphy said the additional class will be paid for by the American Rescue Plan and 2023 fiscal budget.
