Carmelo Anthony said his only problem with former head coach Mike D'Antoni was on the court. He tried to play the way his coach wanted, even though it was uncomfortable for him and ultimately unsuccessful.
James Dolan is an easy target. He has more negatives I can pile on but I don't want to bore you. All that being said, he is far from an impossible obstacle to overcome for the Knicks to win a title.
Now that Mike D'Antoni is out, this is Carmelo Anthony's big chance to have it his way, to lead the team on his terms, to shine. That is what is expected of him now. Anthony got exactly what he wanted!
Knicks fans may one day look back and mark March 14, 2012, as the official end of Linsanity. Mike D'Antoni's run-and-gun version of it, at least.
Maybe there's a big-name coach out there who can bring out the best in Carmelo Anthony and the Knicks. Just don't expect Kentucky coach John Calipari to be that guy.
