Joshua Simmons was shot to death just before 9:30 p.m. in the 1000 block of Via Wanda when he attempted to buy a phone from someone he met online.
Joshua Simmons, just 15-years-old, was fatally shot Friday evening when he arranged a meetup via an online marketplace to purchase a cellphone. Friends and family of Simmons gathered in Long Beach Sunday evening to remember their loved one whom they remembered as goofy, athletic and very caring.
